Focussing on principles of structural and energetic alignment, we explore the understanding of asana from an experiential perspective – as opposed to intellectual. If you are intrigued but feel a little intimidated by yoga, this class is a safe and friendly environment to start from.

A Puglian retreat

Yoga retreat 22-29 June 2019, Puglia

“Breath is the foundation of the internal form of the practice.  The waves of the breath start the process of alignment, which is merely the intelligence waking up in the centre of the body.”   Richard Freeman

This week-long retreat was held at a private villa in Salento; over seven nights accommodation and six glorious days of yoga and bodywork.

All meals were made with love by a local chef, creating vegetarian dishes inspired by Ottolenghij and with a Puglian twist.

We had time to swim in the full-sized pool and even play tennis and croquet and could choose whether to relax on the huge roof terrace or by the pool.
